What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

I'm handicapped and we needed a different campsite and they accommodated us with no problem. Thanks

Beautiful campground, breathtaking views. Some close to the river bed.

My wife and I tent camped 4 nights within the Tuolumne CG. We enjoyed it immensely! When we checked in at the campground entrance station, we felt welcomed by the friendly, knowledgeable park staff. We were directed to an outstanding campsite. I might say, there is a lot of chatter within the national park system to have contractors oversee the campgrounds. We feel this would be a huge mistake. So, Yosemite, please stay the course by continuing to have your very competent Park Rangers operate the campgrounds.
This section of Yosemite is incredibly beautiful. It’s less crowded and the hiking is spectacular!

Campground itself is lovely; the booking system with day-of site assignments is not.

Loved our stay at Tuolomne Meadows. It was our friends' first time staying there, normally staying closer to the valley when they do camp in Yosemite, but they were pleasantly surprised. A beautiful, spacious campground with a store in walking distance to buy firewood and other supplies. It is about a 45 minute drive into the valley, but nice to get away from the crowds at the end of the day. There are also plenty of gorgeous trails in walking distance from the campground itself for a change of pace.

We always tent camp at Tuolumne Meadows Campground because we love the high country.

Tent only site that I was able to reserve last minute on a summer weekend. I really like that the campground has tent only sites and was thrilled to snag a spot. The campground is well-run and well-equipped. My only complaint is that the site is immediately next to the road. Reservations are site specific, so you mostly know what you're getting.

It's a beautiful spot. Very few generators in the campground, thankfully.

Beautiful campgrounds! A lot more laid back here than in the valley and just as majestic!
