What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Beautiful! But now crowded like the Valley. 300 campsites! Used to be so pristine. Now overrun with tourists.

We spent two nights at D11. Great site with woods on three sides so very private. Flat space is enough for two tents at most.
Access to visitor center is great. Did not have any issues with Tioga Road noise. Great site.

The river is so special, the sites great, the people are dedicated and lovely. You need powerstrips like they have at the store for charging, you need showers even if cold.

Tuolumne Meadows, as always, was amazing. The upgrades to the campground are mostly very good. The frustrating part is how many campsites were empty in the middle of the week due to no shows.

Campground well managed and maintained. Spots not particularly level, particularly parking spots.

Decent campground. Very popular as getting a reservation took many tries. I was lucky to get a site (C68) that was close to the restroom. Else you'll need to walk a bit. Or you can drive there as there are parking spots in front of every restroom. However, navigating through this campground takes some patience. The A to H loops are all interconnected via one way paths. No shortcuts, unless you're lucky, you'll need to drive through several loops to get to your site.
Note that the sites vary in size and arrangements. Read the comments on each site to pick the right one. The comment often mention road noise from the adjacent highway, but I don't think it is that bad. The speed limit on that stretch is 25mph, and most drivers do slow down.
Finally, cell/data connectivities were close to none (neither T mobile nor Verizon). With a preloaded map of the area, I was able to get driving directions, but it took several minutes.
