What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Great elevation! Days were in the 70s and the nights were in the low 40s. Beautiful weather and scenery.

The campground was great. I arrived after dark and it was slightly confusing to find site D5 compared to the map. After parking in the group of parking spots for D5-7 the site was the first one you come to. You can hear a little bit of the cars on the road from this spot as well. A short walk to a bathroom and trash.

We really enjoyed the H Loop -- beautiful new bathrooms, great location, nice and quiet, close to the river. The rangers were great, as usual. Thank you!

Campground is in great shape overall. My third time there and getting some of the spots along the river was amazing. I just wish it was a little easier to get reservations. I understand the popularity. At the same time one of my campground neighbors didn't get into site until around 10pm and left by 8am, felt like a waste of a prime spot.

We love the updated campground. I wonder if you could somehow provide fire pit instructions to campers. The guy next to us created so much thick smoke each night and that was the only negative (and severe) problem we experienced. Campfire at night was great. Rangers at the kiosk were so helpful and pleasant! Love the new Loop H and the established paths to the main campfire. It'll be even better next year if they are able to complete updates on the Tioga Road before weather disallows.
