What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

We loved staying here. The rangers kept saying “lucky us” and boy were they right! We have a campsite that was very close to the river and the bathrooms were also near buy. I would definitely recommend staying here! Even with the fact that Yosemite valley is a almost 2 hours away! It’s not that many miles away but the windy roads really add up time to the drive. Overall, I would stay here again!

Long wait at entrance to park although we had our reservations. Once we were at the campground checkin was smooth.

Got there after rangers were gone for the day, and there were still people guiding us to the campsite. :) Very clean bathrooms!!! Lots of trees for hammocking, short walk in every direction to unmatched views and beauty

A gorgeous, wooded campground in the heart of Tuolumne Meadows. Hikes to many scenic areas are proximate from the campground and the store and grill are just steps away. The bathrooms with flush toilets and sinks are in quaint buildings dating back to 1928. The history of the place is classic.

Amazing experience! Thanks to the person at the entrance who explained us everything in detail as this was our first time camping ever. Also, she gave us one of the highest rated camp site which was near to the creek. Tuolumne is a beautiful place, and a must visit other than the valley. Kudos to the park staff for maintaining such high standards of security and amenities.

There is a reverence for Yosemite high country that you do not find in Yosemite Valley. One feels like you are on the wild side of Yosemite - the frontier area of the PCT and the JMT. The rangers at the kiosk were knowledgeable and friendly.

I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful campsite. Tons of nice hikes nearby! Definitely pack loads of bug spray. We had a site close to the river (68A). One of my favorite things to do was take a walk by the river and just listen to the water flowing. Absolutely amazing. Looking forward to going back soon!
