Wawona Campground

Magnifique endroit, bien situé dans Yosemite park.

A great simple campground that follows the river. Big new bear boxes at each site. The bathrooms are recently refreshed with lighting. Campfire with Rangers most evening. Quiet and not crowded.

Really great campground in Yosemite... 40 minutes from the Valley and Glacier Point, but less crowded and the Wawona area has its own charms, and so nice to be by the large creek (even if it attracts a few mosquitoes, fyi). Plenty of space and good standard car camping picnic table and fire pit, one of the few places you're still allowed to have a campfire. Have fun, and look for a spot by the creek!

Very unprepared

Beatiful campsite with a creek running beside it. Only complain is how sloped site 030 was. We kept sliding down our tent all night.

We really liked the campsite. From the very first day we arrived, the customer service was excellent; the lady there was very helpful, and the loop we booked right by the lake was fantastic. At night, we could hear the river water, which was incredibly relaxing. The only downside was the lack of showers, but we bathed in the lake for those three days—which actually turned out to be better. If I come back, I’d definitely stay at the Wowana campsite again

The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the ranger program at night. During the day was great since everyone was out and we had the river to ourselves. Nighttime was horrible as we were sandwiched between a large group that was loud until midnight. I wish they had funding to enforce quiet time. California seems to be the worst for disrespectful campers.

Have came here with my family over the years and still remains the best campgrounds in Yosemite

Nice location, I had a peaceful stay here. Its clam and away from busy tourist sites yet easily access to site seeing. Has lovely river views beside the campground and few spots while walking beside the river. Camp is well maintained, camp officers on duty were welcoming and helpful. Kudos!

I wish this camp has mobile network service.

Decent sized campsites, each with their own picnic table, beer box and fire pit. It was fairly quiet and rangers were super helpful. Being along the river was a nice surprise! About 40 mins from the valley. We loved staying here!
