The only downside to this campground is the winding road to Yosemite valley. Its a bit of a trek. However, this site was quite good. Creekside was beautiful, bathrooms decent, and sites had decent space.

We are very pleased staying in Wawona it was quite, clean and our camp site as near the river. and he bathroom was well maintained.

We had to bounce around three campsites as we scheduled a little late. It was manageable and allowed us an opportunity to see where we wanted to be next time. 27 A needs a fence or trees/shrubs between the picnic table and the bathrooms. Very little privacy

Nice campground overall: setting is beautiful, the nearby stream sounds made for a relaxing night's sleep. campsites were well-spaced & fellow campers were quiet & orderly. I felt fortunate to be able to get a campsite in a national park on fairly short notice. The Living History Center nearby made for an interesting activity. There was also a nearby store that I did not visit, but that could have been convenient.
My campsite had a table, fire grate and bear-proof storage.
Negatives: it was a long walk to the restroom from my campsite. I had a walk-in site about 60' downhill from my car, but I knew that going in. However, the path left a lot to be desired, as I had to wind around rocks & bushes, and the first step down from the parking area was borderline dangerous. As I was required to store my food in the bear-proof box and that was situated down by the campsite, that meant ferrying my entire cooler & all food supplies down from my car & back up again in the morning, which was a minor pain.
Firewood sales would have been nice. I opted to go without a campfire, but some of my neighbors were actively scrounging dead/fallen wood quite a ways from their sites. It struck me odd that this was even permitted in a national park, but the rules said it was allowed.
Overall, a nice experience, just be prepared for a little inconvenience if you take some particular walk-in sites.

We had a fantastic time and we’re very grateful to have camping spots as I know they fill up quick. We stay three nights and bounce to three different sites, which was just fine and provided some time for us to realize how much we did not need lol. I would recommend Site 27 a have trees planted or shrubs separating the picnic table from the bathrooms. There is no privacy with a lot of traffic to the bathroom. I would also recommend more signs reminding people to be quiet and the beautiful nature they are staying in, as some people are looking for the peace that nature provides

The spot is pretty spacious, has a fire pit with barbecue grill and a bear proof food box. There are clean restrooms (with showers) on the premises. We all loved it and had a great time. Highly recommend.

Pretty close to Yosemite but 35B is not a good place to stay due to slope and not enough space for a car. There are no showers here.

Take Highway 41 north from Fresno, Highway 140 east from Merced, or Highway 120 east from Manteca into Yosemite National Park. Follow signs to Wawona. The campground is located 8 miles north of the South Entrance station on Highway 41, and 27 miles south of Yosemite Valley.

General
- You are responsible for reading the following information and booking a site that will accommodate your equipment.
- If arriving one or more days late, call (209) 375-9535; your reservation will be cancelled if we do not hear from you within 24 hours of your arrival date.
- Bear Habitat! Food and toiletries must be stored in provided food lockers. Absolutely NO food or scented items stored in vehicles. Dispose of garbage immediately in bear-proof dumpsters.
- Potable water at the dump station (located one mile south of the campground) is only available during summer months.
- Resale or auction of advance reservations is prohibited

- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
