This campground is very nice. River runs along one side. I didn't camp right next to the river, but even across on the other side of the campground I could still hear the river (which to me is a plus). There are approx 100 sites, speard between 3 loops. I was at the far end of the farthest loop, which I loved - less cars going by. The campsites are spaced nicely.

The campground was beautiful and clean. Right next to the river. We had a blast watching the ground squirrels and pocket gophers burrowing. Just lovely. The bathroom could have been cleaner, I feel bad because I feel like the parks are woefully understaffed. Also, NPS bathrooms seem to vary, this one had soap (yay!!) but no electricity so take a headlamp when you go to wash up at night!

This campground is spacious, and located next to a river. You can go to sleep to the sound of rushing water. The camp is clean, as are the bathrooms. Each campsites are spacious, no high density housing here.

Great location. The sound of the Merced River nearby is peaceful and lull you to sleep. A lot to do nearby.
Just be aware that there are no showers and can take up to an hour to go down to Housekeeping Camp to do so.
Valley shuttles are horrible. Be prepared to wait up to an hour for a shuttle to arrive and another hour to get to your destination. Drivers are pretty rude. One driver abandoned us waiting in line because they didn't want to deal with an individual who cut in line and wouldn't leave.
