Wawona Campground

This campsite was amazing and we were lucky enough to get a site on the creek which was absolutely stunning. We loved the entire campsite and was a short drive to Yosemite and very easy to get to the Yosemite Valley Centre

location a dream. Generators a nightmare. Completely incomprehensible that they are still allowed in this nature. Spoil you noise pollution the evening.

We had a nice stay at Wawona CG, the site worked for our needs. One negative comment would be regarding the guy across from us in 36. He burned a fire morning and night. With high temps in the 90's it made no sense why he had to have a fire. The smoke just hung in the air since there was no wind to speak of. He used a stove to cook his meals so having a fire was an obsession. How about making some fire restrictions?

Great Campground for hiking in Wawona and around Yosemite. Beautiful creek for swimming, drinkable water. Toilets where clean in the beginning but got bad, after group camp was there for a night.

Wawona Campground in July was great for what it was.
We didn't spend any time on site as it was too hot.
We took a trip to Yosemite Valley, did our thing and returned back to the site only to sleep.
The river next to the campground was also quite majestic, made sleep way better.
Took a dip in the river in the morning, and left the site by 10am.

Very clean bathrooms and the park rangers were very helpful! We appreciate the white board for late check ins at the rangers station! That was very helpful since we didn’t have a phone signal.

Great place for camp, campsites aren’t too close to each other like others, river close by.
I didn’t like that park rangers were not there and people checked in 1:30am while everyone were sleep and started setting up their tents and being very loud and disrespectful to people.

Perfect, one of my favourite campground and site! Super privacy. By the river! Restroom pretto closed.

Awesome! It’s next to the Amphitheater for Ranger stories, next (a few feet) to the restrooms and right next to the River and the BEST part… there’s a small “beach” like area in front of the campsite next to the river. Get a spot EARLY… other families drive down to take the “beach” spot. Multiple small families can share but some families try to take over the whole spot. You are next to the restroom and you will get foot traffic but It’s not bad traffic, I particularly enjoyed the traffic because I said Good Morning 😃 to everyone from Loop B when passing the site. It is a corner site, so you will only have campers behind you and to the right and they’re not close. The site details are as described in the website or app. I’ve been camping here at Wawona since the (80”s) 😬 and primarily stayed in Loop C 45-47, and Site 31 was just as awesome as the others. One last thing BE ADVISED - back in the day they would give warnings - NOW they will give you a ticket NO QUESTIONS ASKED - A set of campers got 3 tickets in two days. These are hefty tickets. So FOLLOW the rules. Aside from that, your experience will be what you make it and Yosemite has everything for an experience to be memorable.

Awesome campground with clean toilets, fire pit, grill, potable water, and picnic table. Creek Nearby. 45 min drive to Yosemite Valley, but it was good since there was 1 hour lines to get into Yosemite National Park.
