Really great campground in Yosemite... 40 minutes from the Valley and Glacier Point, but less crowded and the Wawona area has its own charms, and so nice to be by the large creek (even if it attracts a few mosquitoes, fyi). Plenty of space and good standard car camping picnic table and fire pit, one of the few places you're still allowed to have a campfire. Have fun, and look for a spot by the creek!

A great simple campground that follows the river. Big new bear boxes at each site. The bathrooms are recently refreshed with lighting. Campfire with Rangers most evening. Quiet and not crowded.

We stayed at 14, 16 & 22. They are near the creek. Kids had so much fun playing in the water. We all had a great time.

Great campground with a riverfront. Decent bathrooms, and spacious sites. Some have great shade coverage, others not so much

It was a very nice campground, there was no water at the River, the bathrooms were clean always, ar my site no shade at all.

We appreciated the restrooms and flush toilets. Campsites were pretty close together but our neighbors were nice. Would return.

They do not have camp hosts on site, so domestic disputes and the like go on all hours. People next to us were screaming f bombs at each other and throwing stuff. When they weren't doing that their small children were shrieking every five minutes.
The bathrooms are ok, things would be on the floor for days and there was no soap in the dispenser for 2 days. I'm used to another campground where the hosts are checking them a few times a day. Lastly, we had trouble closing one of the trash doors after dark and were afraid bears were going to show up, again no help. When a ranger was driving by the next day I talked to him about my concern and not knowing what to do and he said well no bears showed up so problem solved, really?!

Un bon emplacement pour wawona, mariposa grove et Yosemite valley. Ce camping permet d'être déjà dans le parc et d'éviter la foule. On entend la route mais avec des boules quies pas de problème et cela n'est pas gênant de toute façon. La rivière à proximité est très agréable pour se rafraîchir. Les gardes du camping sont très sympathiques.

Take Highway 41 north from Fresno, Highway 140 east from Merced, or Highway 120 east from Manteca into Yosemite National Park. Follow signs to Wawona. The campground is located 8 miles north of the South Entrance station on Highway 41, and 27 miles south of Yosemite Valley.

General
- You are responsible for reading the following information and booking a site that will accommodate your equipment.
- If arriving one or more days late, call (209) 375-9535; your reservation will be cancelled if we do not hear from you within 24 hours of your arrival date.
- Bear Habitat! Food and toiletries must be stored in provided food lockers. Absolutely NO food or scented items stored in vehicles. Dispose of garbage immediately in bear-proof dumpsters.
- Potable water at the dump station (located one mile south of the campground) is only available during summer months.
- Resale or auction of advance reservations is prohibited

- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
