The bathrooms were taken care of, and the campground itself is always pleasant. However, the camp host was nonexistent, which was unfortunate when our neighbors were very loud until 3am. Please enforce quiet hours!

We only stayed one night but wished we spent longer at Joshua tree, except that it was so hot! Even at night, it was difficult to sleep in the heat. We saw a bobcat in the campground, which was cool. Bathroom was fine. Easy access to the park. Only complaint was the heat, and would definitely come back here at a different time of year.

Very conveniently located just outside of town. Skies were still very dark. Lots of actual Joshua trees, as well as other trees and plants, in and around the campground.

A nice enough campground. Though I think it's a little silly that you can't drive into the park from the campground. It's about a 30 min drive from the campground to get into the park. Also, the roads in the campground itself are completed trash and desperately need to be repaved.

Lots of potholes getting to the site and the road leading to the campground is currently under construction and all gravel for 10 mins. Washrooms were clean. Locations wasn’t great as it 20 mins to get into the park.

Take Interstate 10 to Route 62 into the town of Yucca Valley. Turn south on Joshua Lane and follow signs to campground, about five miles from the turn.
If coming south on Highway 247, go straight across Highway 62 and continue onto Joshua Lane. There will be no sign for the park as you cross Route 62.
Black Rock Campground is accessible via Interstate 10 and Route 62. From Interstate 10, take Route 62 into Yucca Valley, then proceed south on Joshua Lane for approximately five miles to reach the campground.

5.2 mi drive to downtown Yucca Valley (about 11 min)
