We had a great stay at AutoCamp Joshua Tree. The front desk is available 24 hours, and they were very helpful when we arrived late.
The Airstream was clean and comfortably fit a family of 4–5, including kids. There was a grill available, and they provided cooking utensils and a cast-iron pan. You just need to bring your own charcoal. We used Walmart delivery for supplies, which made everything very easy.
The location is about 30 minutes from the park and convenient for driving back and forth. They offer complimentary coffee and tea in the morning, and bikes are available to use.
They provide paper towels, toilet paper, and bath towels, with more available if needed.
I would recommend staying here again.

TERRIBLE VALUE. I've been wanting to stay in an Autocamp for years, but this was a once-in-a-lifetime disappointment. The striking vintage Airstreams and their natural setting seemed a recipe for a perfect getaway. For the sake of other travelers like me, I want to identify two major issues that made our stay awful.
1) Thermostat. The confusing, complex system wasn't working well although we read the instructions thoroughly. We managed to heat one zone of the airstream but the bedroom did not heat up, meaning I woke up at 3am frozen to my bones and had to put on my coat and pile all my clothes on the bed to try and get warm. I spent the rest of the night shivering, unable to sleep. The second night, we again weren't able to heat the bedroom so the staff had to bring over space heater.
2) Linens. These were SO BAD. The bed had no duvet, just a cheap blanket that offered no warmth at all. The towels were paper-thin, rough, and crunchy. Worse than a cheap motel. At over $450 a night they could spring for proper towels and covers.
I will say that the staff were nice, the location was convenient, but honestly, this was crazy overpriced. Save your money.

Needed a last min escape with the family and this was the best spot! They were so kind, friendly and helpful at the front office, it’s a gated little community very clean very chic and so many cool amenities on site. Best part is the location, it’s in the heart of it all! The air streams are perfect, waters hot, a/c and heat work well and quick and each site has perfect views. The staff was so friendly and so engaging they really made the experience so much better! I highly highly recommend

Overpriced and overhyped
This place is very photogenic with the iconic Airstreams glistening silver against a backdrop of muted desert colors. The interiors were also cool to see as they had been extensively renovated.
However, we paid over $500/night to stay here over the holidays and were sorely disappointed by the lack of amenities. There was no hot tub, only an outdoor pool barely heated to 80 degrees. No sauna, restaurant, or playground. Nor could I figure out what made our unit a “premium” one that we had to pay extra for.
They also nickel and dimed us for every little thing, from early check in to late check out (meaning anytime after 10 AM). They also advertise a complimentary breakfast, but it’s only cereal with cow milk. For anyone who can’t tolerate lactose - outta luck!
The Airstream has a complicated heating/cooling system with a loud fan that we couldn’t turn off without turning off the heat completely. The fan going on and off kept us awake for most of the night. We also found the sad, dead bodies of numerous flying insects inside our RV.
If the price point were closer to $100-150, I would rate this as 5 stars for the novelty of the concept and convenient location to Joshua Tree National Park. But for $500, it is definitely a 2 star experience.

AutoCamp is a must stay. The location is centrally located with quick access to the Park and town. Victoria at the front desk provides exceptional service and makes you feel like you are at home. She was so patient and kind with the children and made them feel comfortable and special. All of the AutoCamp crew was amazing and kept the facility clean and organized. The live band on Saturday night was so fun, and we sat around the fireplace drinking hot coco and listening to some really good music. AutoCamp is dog friendly and the dogs we saw were friendly too! We will be back for sure!
