Black Rock is in a lovely area of slopes and vegetation.
Site 66 was plenty large enough for one minivan and one truck, and it was easy to level. Black Rock Campground is close to town, and although it's in the park, you don't pass an entry station on the way in. We realized we needed a campfire, and it was a quick trip to Walmart for (expensive!) firewood.
I've stayed in this campground before, and I will definitely be back.

Black Rock campground is WAY to crowded due to the close spacing of the sites. Our neighbors were less than 10 ft from us on both sides. You need to build more campsites at Joshua Tree. Obviously people love to camp here.
