When we arrived at 4:30 PM the office was closed. There was no map of the campground, which left us driving around on a very bad road looking for our campsite. Isn't 4:30 PM a popular for your guests to arrive?
We have a 25' Class B Motorhome and when we finally found our campsite, it was on the side of a hill. We had to drive over a rain gully to even get to a half decent spot. We were not able to level our RV.
And so we googled campgrounds in the area and ended up going to a more modern campground that was level and had a pull through site. We did not even stay at this campground. It was HORRIBLE!

Camp here for 2 nights just to see the stars. You will enjoy. You should come see the yucca trees see the early morning hikers walking past the tents then trudging back in the heat. You should go see the brilliant sunsets and sunsets. You should go wearing layers bc the temperature is cool in evenings of March. You should go see the nature center and buy Joshua Tree merchandise. You should expect some breezes during day and more so at nights. Bring your dog as I did and watch him enjoy the shade alongside us humans who didn’t feel like hiking but enjoying outdoors. Don’t be in a rush to leave campsite bc the thrift stores and art galleries don’t open until after 12 pm for some. You should try the local coffee and see the crowds who meander in and out.

Clean bathroom with running waters and comfortable sinks with counterspace. The campground was easy to navigate and the folks at the visitor center were super nice! Only thing to note is that there's not a lot of vegetation to block out noise from other campers so bring earplugs.

We were in a small RV in an area that accommodates RVs. Unfortunately there were also tents close by. We felt bad about the need to run our generator. Maybe there's a way to let people know when they make a reservation that certain areas may have generators running during generator hours.

My only regret was that we only spent one night here! Beautiful campground. Roads are a little rough due to washouts. But, overall, very nice. If I was ever in the area again, I would certainly stay there.
