We had a great time at the Black Rock campsite. The site itself was spacious enough for our 6-person tent, vehicle, and sitting room around the campfire. The bathrooms were cleaned daily and having running water nearby was a huge plus. We would highly recommend this campsite for small families that are new to camping and want to have the comforts of flush toilets, running water, and close proximity to the Joshua Tree National Park entrance.

Restrooms were very clean and this site was very close to the restroom and water source. This particular site is very close to 2-3 other sites, as in there are no shrubs/trees/rocks to show a division. We were lucky to not have neighbors on one side, but it might feel very cramped if all neighboring sites were used.

I had a good campsite and the facilities were good, and clean. The only thing that I did not like was the location and Its close proximity to the city. It is located on the edge of town.

It was very difficult to find my space in the dark when I arrived. Signage could be improved. The campground could be updated but it was beautiful, my space was nearly level and I had plenty of room. I had cell service with Verizon.

Fairly nice camping sites with adequate space fire ring and tent site. Not truly in the national park but some moderate/strenous trails access points. No power and limited potable water.

Beautiful setting, with great walks from the campground, including the skull rock and the loop. Cacti in bloom, along with some wildflowers, even in late April. We took the Geology Tour road, which was also great, and near the campground
