The river is magic. The campsites are only steps away from shady cool riverside hideaways to be in sync with nature. Keep driving that loose gravel road up and up, follow that river, and you will find peace in Purgatoire.

Great, out-of-the-way campground. Beautiful area, cool and quiet. Sites are quite rustic and could use some leveling, but are still quite functional. Don't tell anyone about this CG...it's our secret.

Fresh clean mountain Air, camp host was very friendly and helpful.
Our spot number 9 could use a good grading.

It was great! Spot 18 had great shade and farther back lot for tents. Spot 12 is in the open field and was great for dogs. Well maintained. Very friendly camp host, he came around multiple times a day to check the toilets and stock them!

It was a beautiful location. The site was not too close to bathrooms. It was also on an incline, and there wasn’t a flat part of the site to camp a tent on. I hate sleeping at a slant, so FYI if you’re planning on setting up here in a tent.
