Beautiful spot! We had #9 and #10 with the river running next to it. The camp host was extremely nice. Such a serene location. Only downside was the wind, which caused the large fire in the area. I hope this secret campground is saved from it so others can enjoy its beauty!

We loved this campground. Our site, #7, had a lot of privacy, was next to the creek, and had a lot of surrounding trees. The camp hosts were friendly and the campground was very well maintained. We made the very short drive down to the lake and paddle boarded which was nice. We also did some bike rides and hiking from the campsite. We will definitely camp here again.

Had an amazing experience. Everything was very clean and the host did a great job. Bathrooms were extremely clean as well conveniently located. Would recommend a plan on coming back many more times throughout the summer.

Small campground with few spaces, so quieter and more peaceful than most. Sound of the stream behind the campsite was wonderful. Camp host Dan was helpful and the toilets were always clean and stocked.

My kids and I greatly enjoyed our campsite. The camp hose was friendly and knowledgeable, the bathrooms were very clean, and our site had plenty of trees to keep the tent and cooler in the shade, plus hang a hammock. We had a great time riding bikes in the loop and walking along the lake trail where we had a chill encounter with (what seemed like) the neighborhood fox. My kids are already asking to go back!

This campground is very peaceful. The host was attentive. The views are limited but the sound of the stream running along the campground provides a unique ambiance.

Getting There
From Pueblo, go 25 mi south on I-25 to exit 74. Drive west 18 mi on state Highway 165. Turn into the main entrance at Lake Isabel Recreation Area and drive to Forest Road 374, the second left. Follow signs to the campground.
