Beautiful spot. Would like to be able to walk right to the lake to fish. The closest camp site to the lake side was about 1/4 of a mile. The Lake campground is NOT on the lake. Did not see any potable water available at the Lake camp site.

Nice dry camping. The restrooms were very clean.
Tight campsite as we could lower the steps on our 21 ft trailer only after removing the legs.

This Campground was very small and the RV slots were way too close to one another. My first night there I had no neighbors, but the second night I had one Neighbor, and once they parked their RV in place they were within inches of our fire pit. It was very cramped and not comfortable at all. I believe they need to eliminate some of the RV slots that are so jampacked tight against each other. We will not be reserving this campground again. The RV Park has two other RV campgrounds, and those were rather nice. I would much rather Select one of those in the future.

Getting There
From Pueblo, drive 25 mi south on Interstate 25 to exit 74. Go west 18 mi on state Highway 165. Turn into the main entrance at Lake Isabel Recreation Area. The campground is the first within the recreation area on the left.
