Rocking M Ranch Campground

We are loving our weekend at Rocking M Ranch! There is a cute nature trail and an off leash area for dogs. It is close enough to Cripple Creek to enjoy the town but far enough away to be quiet. And there is a little playground and yard game area

A beautiful, quiet campground with back in and pull thru sites tucked into the trees. The sites are spaced well from each other. They are water and electric only with the exception of the 6 long big rig pull thrus that are nearest the road. The folks working there are the best, going above and beyond to help when we had a medical issue to take care of. There’s a nice playground near the office and a hiking trail through the woods around the back of the property. There is no tent camping. The only thing I would add is a bathroom, right now there just a couple of Porto Potties.

Quiet and beautiful location well set up. Even after showing up late still came out to greet and assist with finding our spot. Campground was very clean and well maintained. They gave us a map to the local amenities and a few places for good pictures.

We had an outstanding experience at this campground! The hosts were fantastic—when we arrived after office hours and struggled to back in to our site (no fault of the campsite, we are just inexperienced), Judi came to our rescue. She walked us through the process and helped us back in so we could easily reach the hookups. When we were leaving, her husband offered help with hooking back up and even followed us to the dump site to assist with dumping our tanks.

The sites are spacious with plenty of room to park our vehicle and for the kids to run around without disturbing others. We had campsite 20 which was perfect but all the spots are great. The entire campground is very well-maintained. The port-a-potties were clean and emptied regularly, always stocked with TP, which was a lifesaver when our RV's brown water tank was full. They are located away from the sites but close the playground which was excellent for kids. The location is perfect, offering easy access to both Cripple Creek and Colorado Springs.

Overall, this was a great camping experience. Highly recommend staying here if you can snag a spot!

We stayed back in July for our anniversary weekend. We had an amazing time here. Great owners and staff, beautiful scenery (they have worked really hard out there). There’s a area to play games for the kids. I wish there was a dog park. That would have great. We survived a surprise hail storm, our canopy didn’t. Lesson learned…. Never leave for town your rv with the canopy out. 🤷🏼‍♀️ We still had a great time and will definitely be back!
