Had a good time - the CG was great, very clean, etc, although 1 restroom was closed "for painting" which we think could be done during the off season - the host, Blaine, was also great, very personable and the CG showed he was paying attention to the condition of the CG - A real draw back, which could happen anywhere, was the people in space 3 had a dog that barked incessantly and they did nothing to stop it - very rude and inconsiderate - no one drives 10 hours to get to a USFS CG to listen to a barking dog for a week! Bryce, if you read these reviews, hang on to Blaine, he's a good one!!

The West Dolores CG is wonderful. Besides its setting the camp host, Blaine, is the best! He checks up on you during your stay and provides local information.

West Dolores is one of our favorite campgrounds. This year the host, Blaine, was exceptionally welcoming and organized. We appreciated both of these traits as sometimes in NF campgrounds the host/s are organized, but don’t go out of their way to communicate with the campers.

Beautiful campground. Very secluded. No cell service or WiFi, but that was fine. We had a nice space with electric, however no water to site. Nice, clean restrooms, no showers. Camp host was very helpful and friendly.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. Amazing tall trees, clean restrooms (composting type, with no odors), sites spaced well apart from each other, river flowing along campground, and an outstanding host. Blaine has hosted here for 7 years and is kind, knowledgeable and cares for the campground like it's his own. We stayed 5 nights in a reserved site with electric hookup (4E), then changed to a first come, first serve site (#11) because we didn't want to leave. Many campers were there who come back year after year- it is a keeper.

Very nice little campground. Has large ponderosa's first Aspens and is right on the Dolores river. We did have electricity and there were water faucets around the campground.
