Everything was great. The weather was a little warm for August (can't be controlled). Dolly was an excellent camp host - very friendly and helpful. We had a great time and look forward to our next visit.

This was more oriented towards ATV users and less towards hikers. The trails were pretty torn up and muddy. We did tackle the Rim Trail and the Chicken Creek Trail and then spent a while cleaning our boots. It was unusually rainy which did not help the trails.

We live camping here as a church group but not sure we will return unfortunately. There is a new rule that we were told by the new camp host. No tents on grassed area. We were told to set up tents on the gravel areas only. It was almost 90 degrees outside. Have you ever set up tents on gravel? Such a disappointment. We were told we couldn’t even set up our tents in the distance on weeded/grass areas under trees. The site itself is beautiful and we really enjoy staying there.

We have been to Transfer for family picnics before. This year it was in absolutely excellent condition - recently raked, not one scrap of trash. The groundskeeper checked in with us. He is doing a great job.

What an AMAZING group site! I was so pleasantly surprised. Perfect shade and set-up. Extremely clean bathroom (impressive). Great trails all around. I will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful campground! The scenery is amazing and the sites are spread out enough to give some privacy. The host is also very friendly and helpful.

A couple small things kept this campground from getting a 5. The location is next to a road that is fairly busy with traffic (mostly ATVs) during all daylight hours. There also isn’t much shade in the campground, due to the young aspens in the area. Finally there is no trash service available so you have to take your trash with you.

Overall though, excellent place to stay and I will happily return!

Three nights in campsite 6. Beautiful surroundings with nearby (short walk) views of peaks. Bathroom well kept. Friendly, helpful host. Potable water. No trash service, so prepare accordingly. Very little cell service in campground. About 20 minutes back to Mancos with good service (Verizon), and good food/drink choices. Will definitely go back!

Wonderful little campground with hiking trails within walking distance. Beautiful scenery at the campground itself and of course on the trails. The host was very friendly. No Internet service, which is one reason why I picked this location! And if you really need to get supplies, the town of Mancos is just 11 miles away.
