What Guests Are Saying
Transfer Campground is well-maintained and offers beautiful scenery, spacious sites, and friendly hosts. The facilities, including clean bathrooms and nearby hiking trails, enhance the experience. However, the campground is close to a busy road, has limited shade, and lacks trash service, so visitors should plan accordingly.

The camp was great. It was near many varied riding opportunities. Dan, the camp host, was very helpful in every way. I didn't rate five stars due to no natural water nearby.

Lovely campground in pristine, healthy forest. Clean restrooms, fresh water, beauty galore! Tent platform worked great during the raging storm we experienced, allowing the rain to run somewhere else. Also, campground is only ten miles from Mancos, on a pretty well maintained road, so stocking up on supplies was easy. Several nice hiking trails right out of the campground. Only downside is the occasional ATV noise. They aren't allowed in the campground we stayed in, but have their own campground nearby. Hate those things. Wish they were prohibited from public lands.

Our host Dan was great! Really cared about the campers & if they needed anything, stopped by each day to check on us. Had two intense storms with heavy lightning, he went out in them making sure we were alright & sharing information about lightning & safety. Campground & bathrooms were clean and well kept. All of this and in a setting right in the aspen, beautiful.

Dan was the best camp-host ever, he stopped by and said hi, answered any questions, made sure we had everything we needed and even helped remove little stumps so we don't trip, available for questions and made suggestions on items to see. Amazing campgrounds, no garbage removal you need to pack it out.

The camp host, Dan was awesome. Cows came into the camp ground due to a breach in the fencing. They were pretty annoying for a couple of days.
