It was too hot with too little shade. And our campsite was the only one around us WITHOUT a charcoal grill. We left after the 1st night instead of staying the weekend. disappointing considering how tough it is to secure a site there. That would be my 2nd issue. The lack of availability is ridiculous.

Was nice to be on top of Monument and see view of Fruita down below. However, I was far from restroom, and lighting was not good. Take a flashlight.

I checked in April to make a reservation and was told the campsite were first come first serve. When I arrived in early June reservations were required. When I tried to reserve a site on my phone the website would not accept payment. I had to reserve and pay for a 2nd site, the first site being unavailable to other campers.

Campsite and bathrooms were very clean. The bathroom building in our loop had a useful utility sink. The representatives at the gate and in the visitors center were very friendly. I did not anticipate having to pay a cash fee to enter the park but may have missed it in some notification. The views along the park drive and our hikes were fantastic.

Absolutely epic views. Campground was quiet and well maintained. We will absolutely stay again (this time, on the outside of Loop B)!
