This was a Hantavirus breeding ground! I can handle mice in cabins. But mice feces dripping from the infestation in the ceiling onto our food, onto our bodies as we slept, sweeping it up each morning only to find it covering everyone in the room. Horrible infestation of a half dozen gnawing mice between the ceiling and the roof. Absolutely needs an extermination before renting. Again, I get mice in cabins, but this was beyond anything I’ve seen.

The location and classic looks of this basic cabin are great. This is a bare cabin with a wood stove and a picnic table inside. Concrete floor. Another picnic table and fire pit behind cabin as will as a very clean vault toilet - outhouse. Very nice small stream right beside cabin creates some nice sound that helps to block vehicle noise from main road. Cabin sits about 100 yards off road down a nice driveway with locked gate at main road. This is a remote cabin with no cell service. It has locks on both the front and back door of the cabin as well as the outhouse and main gate. I could not get the back door to open, but was not a big deal for me. Did have mice come in cabin at night. Got some rain during visit and cabin will keep you dry.

This was the perfect mix of a camping/cabin experience. Super secluded, easy to get to and tons of great things to do near the cabin. We had a larger party, and there was enough space to sleep 5-6 comfortably in the cabin. Also the property had space for any tent campers. We all agreed that we could live there! Easy access to Buena Vista if you need more supplies, and great fishing at Clear Creek Reservoir. The cabin is rustic, but seems luxurious for us as primarily tent campers. We experienced a snow storm on our last night, but the cabin was extremely cozy and warm with the wood stove. I could not recommend this place enough! We will be back as soon as we can.

This was a great place. Cabin was very clean, bathroom was also very clean. Bring a wood saw and an ax to get firewood. There was plenty of dead and down nearby. I would definitely go again.
