We stayed at the Education site. Very clean and very well maintained. The host was very helpful and very well mannered . The birds were amazing and the trails were groomed. There is a little store across the way and there is water on site at the education site only. It’s a little pricey for the site but you get literally the whole back end with tables and a huge fire pit and large grill with a shelter to cook. Perfect for family gatherings and learning about the area. Volleyball and horseshoes and there’s even a baseball diamond and good cell service.

The campground is clean and neat; the restrooms are clean and tidy as well!
It's mostly peaceful and quiet with lots of great birds to watch and is just a nice place to get away to for some R&R. The campground host is great and personable!

The resident person who was in charge of maintaining the campsite area has done an outstanding job. We camped in the EDU campsite and the site was clean and ready for occupation. The very clean restroom was particularly appreciated. That same fellow was very friendly and very informative. He visited our campsite shortly after our arrival to welcome us.
The Crow Valley Campsite is very bucolic and was an excellent place to camp so close to the actual grasslands. The trees and mowed grass were much appreciated -- as were the clean fire pits and clean tables and benches. The potable water was also appreciated (although it would have been nice to know in advance that such water was going to be available).
My only complaint would be the all-night noise from diesel trucks passing very close by. However the sound of the trucks was only a problem -- and then it was a MAJOR PROBLEM -- when some of these trucks used compression engine braking. This braking should be absolutely prohibited within one mile of the intersection of County Roads 77 and 90. In fact, I can't understand how the residents of Briggsdale put up with all that unnecessary noise!

We love staying at Crow Valley in May. The campsites and bathrooms are well maintained and the birding can be spectacular. We saw a nice variety of birds but nothing out of the ordinary. Great spot early in the season but can be very hot June-August.

We went to Crow Valley to see birds & Pawnee Buttes and saw both! It was a very calm place to camp, although no hookups for water or electrical. However, the pit toilets were the cleanest & most pleasant I have ever encountered in years and years of camping. We had quite the wind and rainstorm our second night, but the clouds were beautiful. Recommend having very good staking for tents and canopies if you plan to camp there - which is always good advice in Colorado.

We love Crow Valley! Love seeing kids playing, families together. The grounds are beautifully kept, bathrooms clean and tidy. All around great place!!

Getting There
From Ault, Colorado, at the intersection of US Hwy 85 and Colorado State Hwy 14, take Colorado State Hwy 14 east for 22.7 mi, then take Weld County Road 77 north for 0.3 mi.
Highway access
The campground is accessible via Colorado State Hwy 14, which connects to US Hwy 85 approximately 22.7 miles to the west.
Policies & Rules
General
- No RV water connections are available.
- This is bear country! For bear and human safety, keep a clean campsite and do not place food or other attractants in your tent. For more information about visiting bear country, contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife at http://wildlife.state.co.us
- Off-road vehicle use is prohibited within campground
- Shooting, archery and fireworks are prohibited
- Extra parking is not available
- Sites may be available on a first-come, first-served basis outside the reservation season
- Fees at the educational site and the group picnic site are calculated by the number of people using the site.

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- All campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of the beginning of the reservation. If not present the site will be rented by first come first serve basis.
- EXTRA VEHICLE FEES: One vehicle is included in your reservation. Any additional vehicles will be charged $8.00 per vehicle per night and will be collected by the camphost. There is not a way to pay for extra vehicles when you make your reservation. One vehicle consists of one camper being towed by vehicle, or any other vehicle towed behind camper. One van or one truck with camper attached counts as one vehicle.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Maximum Vehicle Length: 35' on single units, 30' at the Lark group site.
- Modifications for this campground must be made through Recreation.gov PRIOR to your reservation start date. Customers and contact center agents cannot modify reservations on or after the check-in date.
