Ramble at Great Sand Dunes National Park

Ramble is a hidden gem!! We enjoyed our stay so much. Our host Tim was very helpful and the carne asada dinner kit was so good. There was even a little birthday gift for me when we arrived. The views are incredible and it's so peaceful. This place is truly amazing. We will be back. 🫶

We had the absolute best time at Ramble Camp! We stayed at an adventure site, which had the most basic of amenities, and it was still impressive - there was a table and chairs, a rug, a shade shelter, camp stove and grill. They even provide a fire extinguisher and lighter at each site, and when I found that our lighter was empty, they were quick to replace it with a fresh one. With fire restrictions in place, they outfitted the wood burning Solo Stove at our site with a propane insert so we could still have a fire in the evening. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, and the showers were such a great amenity to have after a long day at the sand dunes. I have been recommending Ramble Camp to everyone who plans to visit the dunes!

This site is so much fun! It was so nice having a site with running water for cleaning dishes, a stove and grill, and easy access to toilets and showers. Our site came with a big table and Adirondack chairs made of composite wood, so no splinters for us! The camp hosts were amazing and changed our solo stove from wood burning to propane when fire restrictions were imposed in the county so we were still able to have s’mores with the kids. Their canteen had coffee, drinks, food and snacks and you could rent bikes and sleds/boards for the dunes. I highly recommend this site if you want to camp but also enjoy having some creature comforts.

I didn’t get the greatest photos, but this was a really nice campsite! I wish we were able to enjoy it more but time wasn’t on our side. It has great amenities including grills, camping games, space between campsites, the showered have really nice shampoo/conditioner/soaps. I was really impressed and if ever come back- would love to stay here again!

We had an awesome time at Ramble at Great Sand Dunes National Park. Our spot was perfect, it came with cornhole and horseshoes. We loved that the fire pit already had chairs. And nothing beats not having to bring a grill or cook top! We had to call to get our water filled but it was quick and easy. The bathrooms and showers were super clean. The staff was really helpful and came by to check on us. Also we were hit with a huge windstorm that destroyed our tent, staff was quick to check on us and offered us another tent. They also had the option to rent sandboard and bikes! Awesome experience!
