Mountain Goat Lodge

The lodge is beautiful, overlooking the stunning snow capped peaks of Sangre de Cristo. Both common areas and our room are spacious, pleasant and super clean. Love all the animals living there: the cat, the dogs, the llamas, the turkeys, the hens and roosters, and of course the goats! Our hosts are gracious, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast with fresh eggs, milk, butter... from the farm is delicious. The sourdough waffle is the best I've had. It is not just a stay over, it is a destination!

This is a wonderful place to stay! The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The hosts were so friendly and fun to talk to. There are beautiful little nooks to sit, read, write and reflect. Plus the dogs are lovely and the goats are entertaining. Will return!

This is our second time staying at Mount Goat Lodge. Gina and D’Arcy are wonderful hosts. The grounds are wonderful with all the goats, chickens, turkeys and a cow! Loved the hiking trail around the property and it was great to have a large enclosed area for our pup to play. The rooms are outstanding and the bedding is some of the best we’ve ever slept on. Breakfast was wonderful with food sourced from the farm. D’Arcy makes a killer mocha espresso! I cannot recommend a BnB more highly!

I had a wonderful stay the Mountain Goat Lodge. Gina and D'Arcy are warm, welcoming, and fun hosts who I enjoyed getting to know better over the course of my stay. The farm-to-table breakfasts were always tasty and fresh, and D'Arcy is a whiz with whipping up various coffee drinks.

The grounds of the lodge offer great trails and views of the surrounding scenery. Also, it was fun to see the farm at work, meet the animals, and learn from Gina and her team.

I highly recommend taking the time to stay here if you either are passing through or have a trip to Salida planned. You won't be disappointed!

We loved our stay at the lodge with our pup while on a road trip across country. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and all have lovely views of the farm and mountains. Breakfast was top notch with farm fresh eggs and the best yogurt I’ve ever tasted! We ate on the deck surrounded by hundreds of hummingbirds coming for their breakfast, beautiful mountains, and views of the goats,cows,alpacas, chickens and ducks. Our golden loved watching all of the animals. We were treated like family and we had such a lovely time! Thank you!
