What Guests Are Saying

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park at Delaware Beaches offers a fun environment for families, with frequent bear sightings and a popular pool. While some guests noted issues with cleanliness and loud weekends, the campground provides various activities for kids, although mini-golf is absent. Despite some dissatisfaction with staff responsiveness and pool maintenance, visitors appreciated the clean cabins and overall experience, with some returning annually.

This past weekend was my first time camping since I was a young child. I was with my son, daughters and grandsons. We all had a blast! The cabin was very clean; the staff were very polite.
We will go next year but make sure the weather is warm. The kids used the pool but it was to chilly for the rest of us. We all still enjoyed the tranquilty of this site, especially at night. We will go at least once per year as it is close and we relaxing.

The website is not up to date. We booked here specifically for the waterslides only to find out they are closed weekdays until Father's day. The staff was apathetic. They admitted the waterslide information was not on the website because it wasn't updated, but stated it was on their FB page. As I continued talking with the staff about how that information needs to be on the website and the whole reason we booked here was the waterslides, they stopped talking to me and ignored me. No attempt for resolution was made. It made for a very disappointing stay with broken hearted kids who cried on and off the day. The website directs you to follow the park in IG not FB. How would I even know about the one post from May 15 that gave the waterslide hours when this was our first trip to any Jellystone park? I found the post AFTER booking and looked it up after talking with the staff. The website boasts of all the included amenities- one being the waterslides/splash pad with NO mention of hours. That is false advertisement. The apathetic staff stated "Well, the pool is open." We didn't book for the pool. I sent an email, commented on FB, sent a FB message, and left a voicemail. No response from the staff to any of those methods of complaints.

Update: The day we were about to leave (a Tuesday) we saw that the waterslides were open. I talked to the staff and they said thay had received so many complaints they opened it up for the day and the next day. No one contacted us about it being open. I asked if we could be given a free night so we could enjoy the waterslides now that they were open. They were happy to comply and granted us a free night's stay. I was appreciative of this, but I shouldn't have had to ask for it. They should have come to me and gave me a solution or at least called that the waterslides were now open.

I bumped the rating from a 1 star to a 3 star since they did accommodate my request.

I have been coming to this campground for years and love it. The only problem I find is they highlight the waterpark and the pool as a main attraction. Which they do not do any up keep.when we were here last summer the pool was in dire need of repair. There were spots where the liner had holes where water was between the liner and wall. We were here for a weekend with 90 degree weather with a fell like 102 and the pool was shut down due to the liner completely separating from the wall and falling into the water

We stayed at site 155. This is a good place for families but weekends tend to be loud. People like to ride around in their golf carts with music very loud. Pay attention to the kids on bikes and scooters as they don't look for car.

We had a nice time at this campground. If you want a jellystone that brings out the bears this is the one for you. We saw them so much. Kids liked the pool. Just wish it had mini golf but had tons of activities for the kids. Just be careful slides are slippery when the kids get up. Also campsite firepit was not clean when we got here; cig butts all inside but not a deal breaker. We would come again.
