Alexander Springs Recreation Area offers a beautiful and well-maintained environment, with clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and a lovely spring for swimming. Visitors enjoy the peaceful campgrounds, spacious picnic areas, and opportunities for wildlife viewing and kayaking. However, some concerns were raised about pavilion maintenance, noise from nearby campers, and limited hours for the spring, suggesting room for improvement in management.

The staff at the park were wonderful. We had multiple interactions with Brian specifically and he was very nice and friendly. I would have preferred to be able to drive and park at the spring as I have bad knees, but overall we had a good time.

We were in Loop B Site 20; we found the site small with a small sharp incline coming off the parking pad into the site making the toting of gear a tripping concern. One end of the picnic table was tangled into some underbrush. Water spigots are shared between sites; ours was less than 20 paces away. The bathrooms and showers were nice and there was a dedicated dishwashing closet with a sink and counter. The walk to the spring was lovely, the facilities in the recreation area were clean and pleasant. The walk through the picnic area was magical with nearly every picnic area occupied by happy gatherings; there was enough space so no one crowded another. The spring was cold and gorgeous! We had a terrific time and would like to come back.

I love alexander springs. Lots of beautiful wildlife, amazing Orb Weavers all around. Lovely quiet campsite. The paddleboarding was fantastic, lots of gators, otters and all kinds of fish. Always a treat to be able to enjoy this place

Bathrooms need some love and no trash cans in camping area even by the bathrooms. Had to walk to the springs for a trash can.

The park is amazing, my only complaint is the bathrooms should be cleaner. I’ve been in many state camping parks, and bathrooms are better than the ones on Alexander.
