Alexander Springs is one of the most beautiful areas in Florida, lots of room to swim, easy boil for kids to explore

Very peaceful... I camped for two nights and it was amazing... the bathrooms were clean and the water was fresh, I loved it... I would go back a thousand times more!

The whole Naventure team was so sweet and welcoming, big thanks to Jenna!! Bathrooms were well taken care of, the area was super nice & peaceful. We rode the bike trail across the street & throughout the campground, skated, there were some nice small hills! We saw soo much wildlife..a fox, armadillo, deer, gators, hawk, mink!!! We really enjoyed fishing on our kayak too! It almost like i was in a retreat at a resort :)

Rude staff. Areas are covered in ticks. Life guards don’t pay attention. The worst area we’ve camped at.

Beautiful State Park with large live oak trees, clean bathrooms and showers in campground, big spacious picnic area and large shallow spring fed swimming area. Kayaking was very pleasant enjoyed the clear spring water where we could see fish, turtles swimming below our kayak. Many birds as well. Deer flys were very aggressive recommend good bug spray. Camping was enjoyable in our tent and spacous campsite. Highly recommend this park for swimming, picnicing or camping.

Alexander Springs Recreation Area is located along County Road 445 in the northeast corner of Lake County between Astor and Altoona, Florida.
From I-75, take Highway 40 east through Ocala and Silver Springs approximately 40 miles to Highway 19. Go south on Highway 19 approximately 5 miles to Country Road 445. Go east on 445 for 5 miles to the campground.
From I-95, take the Ocala/Silver Springs Exit (Highway 40) west for approximately 35 miles to Highway 19. Go south on Highway 19 approximately 5 miles to County Road 445. Go east on 445 for 5 miles to the campground.
Alexander Springs Recreation Area is accessible via State Road 40, which is approximately 15 miles to the north. US Highway 441 is also nearby, providing additional access to the area.

- The campground gate locks at specific times, and late check-ins must complete their check-in the following day.

- Generators cannot be operated.
- Caution is advised with pets due to alligator presence.
- Floats in the swimming area should be limited to under 60 inches in width.
- The boardwalk is closed due to damage.
Site capacity
- Campsites can accommodate 2 tents, 2 vehicles, and 5 people maximum.

- Additional vehicles incur a nightly fee.

- Food must be stored in approved containers to prevent wildlife interactions.
