Alexander Springs Recreation Area offers a beautiful and well-maintained environment, with clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and a lovely spring for swimming. Visitors enjoy the peaceful campgrounds, spacious picnic areas, and opportunities for wildlife viewing and kayaking. However, some concerns were raised about pavilion maintenance, noise from nearby campers, and limited hours for the spring, suggesting room for improvement in management.

I always enjoy staying at Alexander. the staff is always friendly and helpful. they’ve accommodated us at times when they didn’t have to and I appreciate there efforts and all they do to make it a great environment. this last camping trip the only thing that was frustrating was the showers not working on Saturday night but I know that sometimes that happens and that was out of their control it’s always a great visit in a great place to camp and I highly recommend it. We will surely return.

This place was awesome! We were expecting to really rough it but we were presently surprised there was convenient bathhouses and restrooms along with drinkable water. The springs were beautiful and the area wasn’t crowded. We went in early December. Almost all of the sites are nice and shaded. The staff were very kind and friendly. Really close to a lot of hiking trails. Make sure you bring enough supplies. There is only a small local store nearby and you will have to drive 10-30 minutes to find a bigger store.

I’m love swimming, so it’s great to walk and take a swim whenever I want. The water is 72 degrees, very refreshing and clean. Spots are beautiful, shaded and private. Showers are hot and bathrooms very clean.
