Beautiful location. I recommend staying at least two nights. A few campers were very loud with partying at 3am and no campsite officials came to enforce their quiet hour policy. Other than not sleeping from the partying, it was a wonderful stay.

I love this park! The sites are spacious and the bathrooms are fine. There are lots of trees and it feels private. The springs are beautiful and there's a sandy bottom for much of it. The river is gorgeous and not so strong that it's too much work to paddle back. Tons of wildlife like gators, turtles, fish and otters! My favorite place in Ocala!

The woman working at the check in had NO idea what she was doing. It's a long story, but she needs to be retrained.

The park was beautiful, but my goodness so many rules. Also, $31 a night for a campsite with no electric and water only every couple sites is ridiculous. We were scrambling to find a place because the State Park we booked 11 months ago got hit by the hurricane.

The park was beautiful, but my goodness so many rules. Also, $31 a night for a campsite with no electric and water only every couple sites is ridiculous. We were scrambling to find a place because the State Park we booked 11 months ago got hit by the hurricane.

The camping place was fine. Our experience in the springs very fine as well. Many stays here have been outstanding. Unfortunately, the Park's rule changes in regards to "walk-in's" and the no allowance of such campers baffles us. It took us a full 30 minutes in a heated parking space to pull up and complete a campsite purchase for that one night stay. The current administration, or whomever executed this move to all reservations and no walk ins' should re-think the move. All we hear these days is "equity and inclusion", and yet the park system thinks that every camper, or would be camper, has the internet, a smart phone, or other method of achieving the feat of reserving at the gate. Our personal experience on this last visit show us what a folly the new system is and how broken it has become. On our drive (before dark) through the camping areas we saw no less than 30 empty campsites with reservation signs on them. In the morning we drove through and witnessed 25 or so, still empty. These could have been made available for at least that night, or more, to walk-ins. Since this is a great "day use" area as well for a day, then why not a great "one night stay" area as well. We believe the reservation system should be limited (as before) to 75% (or below) for reservations and the rest for "walk-ins". On another note.... the prices have increased as well over the past 4 years, making this and other camping areas less accessible to those families on a budget. Would assume that a portion or percentage of these increases are going directly to the reservation system's operation as well. We doubt the cost or remuneration for the camp hosts has gone up. That would be foolish, since now they have very much less to do! Make our national parks available and affordable to all who wish to visit. These springs are not a private club or exclusive destination. They should be enjoyed by as many as possible.
