What Guests Are Saying

Alexander Springs Recreation Area offers a beautiful and well-maintained environment, with clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and a lovely spring for swimming. It was LOUD. Maybe it was because it was NYE. But even then, the peace of the woods and outdoors when you’re camping is preferable to someone’s music being at full volume and disturbing the peace for hours. It did stop when quiet time began. But until then, the noise took over our evening. The area is beautiful though. And the campground is good. The campers around just weren’t very respectful of others. And it would have been helpful if someone who worked there had been able to bring the volume down a little. But it’s a public place so we understand that things won’t always be perfect! We would give it another try though, as we really did think it was a nice park.

The park was beautiful, camping spaces were clean and mostly private. The bath houses were all clean as well as the dishwashing area. We loved swimming in the spring. Unfortunately we didn’t see any critters. My only complaint is I wish there was some security at night. We were woke up at two AM by screaming, yelling and extremely loud music being played. Most people go to a national park to relax not to hear club music and yelling.

We had a great time, as the campsite was clean and beautifull. All of the rangers/employees were fantastic, they were helpful and polite and could not have been better. I was very impressed at hard they were working to make the place great.
