The camp hosts were a little too much. I and a couple of other people, we met, expressed that they were continually circling the camp grounds and made everyone uncomfortable. We started counting how many times they came by in an hour (not check in or check out times) and at one point they rode by 13 times. Definitely not the relaxing trip we had hoped for and the husband was not even remotely friendly. Would not even respond to a hello. Lastly, please update your rules on the website. I don’t think I would have made my reservations had I known that you can’t attach your dogs leash to a stake in the ground when sitting outside with my dog. I don’t leave him alone or unattended and the lead is only 6 ft but having to physically hold his leash as we both sat there was a bit of a pain.

We normally love staying at the locks. We were harassed by the volunteer. We were just getting set up and had my dogs tied up and were harassed that it wasn't short enough leash. Then we had friends come with there fishing boat and my husband was going fishing but because the boat wasn't moved quick enough every 2 minutes we were told to move it. The volunteer was just really not nice person.

Nice campground, clean, only bad is entrance road, way too many speed bumps, 8 speed bumps from turn off from main road, 3 would be adequate from the bridge to check in, RV destroyer, must crawl over them at 0 speed and still very jarring, even without RV attached, especially heavy duty trucks, I believe they are trying to deter the public using the free boat launch facility, which on the weekends are totally packed, parking all they way to the main road, solution would be to barricade with a guard rail to the entrance road all the way to the main road, non registered guest should be charged at least a $20 boat launch fee
