This was the perfect spot, we were blessed with great weather. It was clean and appeared to be well-maintained. I didn't think to bring anything to clean the grill but that's on me. Trash cans were empty and overall a great spot that we will reserve again in the future.

As always we had a great day. The park was clean and the kids enjoyed it. There were more than enough picnic tables and the trash cans were empty.

Our Cruise Club held its annual Picnic at the Franklin Lock Group Shelter on Saturday April 13th. It was a beautiful day and our group enjoyed the facility. We have been coming to this place for many years and hopefully will in future years. The only negative we have is that the dock has not been replaced. It broke down several years ago and still has not been replaced. This year I see that the broken remnants have been removed so I am hopeful that a new dock will be forthcoming. We have many seniors in our group who still enjoy boating and have difficulty de-boarding directly onto the grass area. A dock would be much appreciated.

We are a boating club & have our annual picnic here each year. There is a doctor to unload passengers, a pavilion right there to reserve and plenty of shade for lawn games.

From Interstate 75, take Exit 141 (Palm Beach Blvd.) east for 7 miles to Old Olga Road. Make a left on Old Olga Road and proceed 0.3 miles to Franklin Lock Road. Make a right on Franklin Lock Road into the WP Franklin South Recreation Area.
