Very nice and clean, great for fishing too. Hosts are welcoming. Our friends were at another site and both of us had BBQ stands rusted and with holes so challenging to cook out. They really need to be changed.

This was our first trip to WP Franklin and definitely won't be our last. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The campground/facilities are well maintained. We had a lovely site and enjoyed watching people fishing from the pier. A nice quiet and peaceful getaway.

You would have received a five star rating if you only would have installed two speed humps in the entrance road strategically located. Seven is a little over the top for the contents of my refrigerator, etc.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. The facilities were clean.
Nice views from all campsites.

W.P. Franklin Dam Camp Site, was clean, friendly campers, facilities, were clean, campsites well kept and every bannister has a water view! There was a nature trail across the highway, and multiple areas to bike through. It was a nice relaxing weekend for us!

WP Franklin Lock and Dam Campground is a wonderful campground. Every site is sideways to water with a private covered picnic table so you can enjoy the view without getting fried. I liked the kayaking opportunities on both sides of the lock as the campground is part of the dam. I have never been able to get in during the winter, but April was pretty nice - cool breeze most of the time. The only disappointments were when I flew my drone it brought out the national guard - nothing in the campground rules mentions drones and I had flown mine there before, but if there was a note in the rules or a sign I would not have caused the alarm. Oh, and for reasons I cannot fathom, there are 6 super aggressive speed bumps on the .4 mile entrance road. I feel one or two speed humps would do the job without the constant stopping. Small price I suppose for a nice campground at a Corps of Engineers price.
