Love this place. On the water. Watch boats go through the lock. Fish from the walkway. Saw several snook being caught.

this is a great campground across Florida on the waterway between Ft. Myers and Stuart. It has great views - much better than private RV parks

This is an excellent RV site, I’ve visited many times. The only reason, and it’s a big one, that I didn’t give an excellent rating is because of the new speed bumps installed. This is complete overkill. The speed bumps are staggered across the road requiring almost a complete stop and many of them and they are very difficult to cross in an RV causing the vehicle to rock severely back and forth.

We very much like this campground. However, very concerning at this visit was the new offset speed bumps approaching the entrance. They cause torquing of our 36 foot Class A RV even when driving over at a crawl, potentially resulting in a wide range of damage. I understand having to slow down traffic, but i highly recommend redoing the speed bumps eliminating the offset.
