W.P. Franklin campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite for many visitors. The serene river surroundings and well-spaced sites offer a relaxing atmosphere for fishing and enjoying nature. Nice site, close to Ft Myers downtown. Wish it could hold more campers, seems set up for the big ones.

Unfortunately, the secret is already out, it's nearly impossible to get campsites at this beautiful location with water views. The campground is well kept with all the amenities except sewer. So please don't' tell anyone else about campground.

This was our second time here and just as nice at the first. Clean and quiet. Check out activities at Babcock Ranch, they have art shows, music and food trucks at various times. We also enjoyed riding into Punta Gorda, they have a great farmers market on Saturday mornings.

My husband and I have stayed at the WP Franklin locks campground twice now and it is simply awesome. The views are breath taking of the water ways and the facilities are always very well taken care of. Love this place and will be back to try out the kayaking next time!

This place has absolutely amazing views. It is located on its own peninsula and is surrounded Caloosahatchee River. There is a pier that campers and visitors can use to fish from or just enjoy the views. This is a small campground. The sites are a little close together and open. There is some shade but not a lot. We opted to not use the restrooms. The sites have electric and water. The dump station is centrally located. We were on site 21 which was connected to another site. It would be great for campers who travel together. We didn't know the campers across from us but they were very nice. There were alligators in the river but they stayed on the opposite shore.
