Arcadia Peace River Campground

Wonderful experience as always. I've been coming here for several years now and one thing has always stayed certain. The service is great! The staff are all so sweet and caring. I am so happy to say that they have upgraded their facilities after the devastating storm they went through. It's even more of a positive and fun experience. There are bathrooms, showers, the little store has everything you may need. Plenty of golf carts to rent during your stay. It's a great place to take your family to.

The staff was so unbelievably rude. My husband and daughters checked in yesterday and rented a golf cart. When running his payment the register locked and they had to move registers. Upon checking our bank account he noticed we had been charged twice. When my husband, who is the least confrontational person, asked the desk about it, they said it wasn’t their fault and it was the banks. They were adamant it wasn’t anything they did and wouldn’t help any further. My husband told them if 2 payments cleared he would have to dispute one of the charges. They then proceeded to tell my husband he wasn’t welcome there anymore!!! The proper way to handle it would have been “maybe when the register locked it ran teice but only one will clear on Monday” would have been sufficient enough for him. Or let me take a look and see if I can see what happened They then proceeded to do a chargeback/refund of one of the charges. My husband asked for a copy of those receipts and again was met with attitude. Its ok to make an error, it happens but to blame the patron when they clearly ran the card twice is unacceptable customer service. And then to tell someone they are no longer welcome there because he questioned charges on our card is just stunning behavior. This is a great campsite that’s close to home but we will more than likely not return due to the unprofessional staff.

Just discovered Peace River Camp Ground. We absolutely loved it. It's beautiful and the staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. The ATV trails are awesome . This is definitely not the place to go ripping through the trails(speed limit is 9mph) but the scenery makes up for it . You can take your atv's down by the river and just enjoy the views. We only did a day trip this time but we WILL BE BACK to stay longer. Thank you for a great day !

We have been camping here for several years paying their ridiculously high prices, because we always had a great time and we could ride our ATV and golf carts. We have several times in the past, rode our golf cart to dollar store that is right next door. Now its against the rules to leave in a golf cart from their property. We didn't see that there was a sign and now you can't do that. Keep in mind that my golf cart is street legal and is registered. The cops wouldn't have even stopped me. We'll without giving me a chance to explain, this man's comes up and immediately said give me your wrist band. Now these wrist bands cost $15 per day and we're we're staying 4 nights. The kicker is that you can get a new wrist band but you have to pay the same price. What a scam. They also charge for each additional person staying with you over 2 people. Most campgrounds don't charge additional if it 4 people or less.
They let people get away with not having your dog on a leash, riding in the river, and people hauling ass over the speed limit which can become very dangerous, but I leave the campground in my street legal golf cart and they take my wrist band. We asked to speak to the manager and guess what, he was the manager. What a joke that this family owned campground would employ someone that has no regard for customer service. We won't be back and neither will my friends and family.

We had an unforgettable weekend camping with friends and family. Peace River is definitely one of those places you must visit if you enjoy camping. We chose to camp along the riverbank, on the sandy area, although they also offer RV camping.
The campground has hot showers, restrooms, and a small store where you can grab last-minute essentials like firewood, bug repellent, and more. The staff was incredibly friendly. We made our reservation through their website and simply checked in upon arrival.
The weather that weekend was perfect—cool at night, which was great for sleeping in tents, and sunny during the day. As always, the river water was refreshingly cold. Everyone around us was super friendly, and the kids had a blast!
It was a great opportunity to disconnect from technology and enjoy nature. We've camped here several times before and always had a great experience. One important note: if you plan to camp by the river, make sure to arrive in a 4x4 vehicle, as regular cars may get stuck in the sand. Hope this helps!
