Camel Lake Campground is a peaceful and beautiful destination, ideal for relaxation and nature lovers, with spacious and well-maintained campsites. Visitors appreciate the friendly camp host and the scenic trails around the lake, making it a great spot for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. While the dirt road leading in can be bumpy and the bathrooms may require some upkeep, the overall experience is cherished by many, who value its secluded charm and tranquility.

We loved Camel Lake, and hope to have the opportunity to stay here again. Didn't use the restrooms, but there was someone there daily who appeared to be cleaning. Small campground, our site was on the water, no one next to us, but the sites are spacious even if there was. Nice trail around the lake.

Small lake with a sand ramp. Non motorized water craft only. Friendly host. Clean facilities. Quite location. Lots of trees, no bugs. First time camping in my 4runner. Definitely we'll be back.

This one one of the most beautiful campsites that we have ever stayed. The view from our site(#2) of the lake was so peaceful. The site was large and level. My only complaint is that the shower wasn't heated. The weather was quite cold and that made the shower room very cold, not conducive for me to shower.

Campground was great, though one thing could've helped prepar us- apparently there has been a boil order for some time as the system is repaired. Totally understandable but would be been nice to know we were low on fuel and could've arrived with some extra water.
Also I'm not sure if I'm just not savvy enough but I cannot ever seem to know how to efficiently get topo maps of national forest - it should be the easiest thing but somehow it always takes forever.

The campground is out of the way in a very nice setting. Lots of room for each campsite (only 10 sites, and only 4 of these have electric and water). No real complaints about our stay here. Nice 1.2 mi walk around the small lake on a well maintained trail. Sunsets and sunrises were nice. Hosts were friendly and helpful.
The 2-mile gravel road to the campground has 5 bad places that are rough on the camper. I wouldn't think that it would take much time or money to fix these places.
A dump station at the campground would also be a plus. The bathrooms only have a single stall, but this wasn't a problem as there weren't many people there. Showers have hot water!
All in all we had a great experience at Camel Lake Campground!

Cozy little campground and well maintained. There is quick access to swimming beach, fishing points, and hiking trails. The only downside is no dump station. It is more than 15 mi to the north or to the south to access a dump station. The road in, FS 105, is dirt, but easily navigated. The campsites and loop road are dirt too, but all level and well maintained. Restrooms were spotless and camp host very friendly and helpful. Sites 1 - 4 have water and electric service, the rest do not.
