Nice camp sites but the facilities were absolutely disgusting!! Left early because of that. Looks like the place has never been cleaned. Mold and stuff (not sure what was on the floors! ) all over.

Quiet campground, Very well maintained. The on-site water was nice.
The 4-mile trail could use a little work, some down trees & overgrowth. Otherwise both trails were well marked and easy to hike.

Wright Lake is a lovely campground, very well maintained and the camp host came and introduced himself to us. The grounds are beautiful and groomed by "David" the campground host. The only downside was there was no cell service there. (Verizon) But, perhaps that made it even more peaceful. I'd highly recommend Wright Lake Campground.

Camping at Wright Lake CG was a good experience. Facilities were well maintained with decent spacing between sites. Hiking through the Longleaf Pine forest and on the pond trail was very peaceful and enjoyable.

The campground was excellent. Very clean, very quiet, and great host. The only drawback is that it was soooo remote that there was no cellphone signal and it was quite a long drive to go to down for dinner or errands. I understand that may not be drawback for some, but it was a bit for us. The last day of our trip we did find a nice little restaurant in Sumatra (only 10 min away) and they have wifi there. So we were able to catch up on emails, texts and phone call when we went for dinner there. But, overall an excellent experience. The hiking was a lot more fun that I thought it would be. The trail often follows the edge of the swampy river, so that was nice to see.

Enjoyed our stay. Jay done a great job keeping the campground including the restroom immaculate. Was very easy to get to the campground. Cell service was not happening,...but that was a plus in my opinion. The nearest town to get wood was in Eastpoint about 25 miles away. We would definitely stay there again! The Tenwaldes

Wright Lake Campground is beautifully located in the national forest with a bathhouse and water at each campsite. No electric (which is fine with me). A few campsites can get a several hours of solar each day. Wear orange hunter safety vests when hiking. We had a hunter’s bullet ricochet off of trees in the campground while we were there. Don’t know if that is normal, but it is something to keep in mind. The lake is quiet but probably not the best place to swim with alligators in the area (not unexpected).
Jay, the host, was the best host I’ve had in 50+ years of camping. Jay was a perfectionist at keeping the bathhouse clean and the trash cans empty. While those are likely expectations of most campers, that was only the beginning of his professionalism. Jay welcomed every camper and did his best to accommodate their needs. When a couple conflict problems arose, Jay was there to calm and resolve the problems. When the weather turned cold for 3 nights (14F degrees in Florida), Jay came up with a plan to keep the water running 24/7 and saved the bathhouse and campsite spigots from freezing. Probably the most interesting attribute about Jay is that he likes people. I’ve stayed places where the host was a ghost—never seen or available. Jay was always around and available, personable and friendly.
We had a great stay at Wright Lake Campground.

The campground was quiet and peaceful. The host, Jay, and his doggy companion Bruno, are doing are very good job, the place is clean and well maintained. Tip of the hat. Some little budget would help for some repairs in the restrooms. There are 2 well blazed trails: 1.2 mile and 5.7 miles.
