Sun Retreats Crystal River

This place is a joke!! Most of the staff are rude to the point of belligerent. They claim to be family and pet friendly, they are far from it! They do not keep their word, nor do they make you feel welcome. It is far too overpriced to not have peace! If you can avoid it, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else!!!!

The office staff is on point with customer satisfaction. Jillene, Joyce, and Jenny took care of a concern we had without delay. The resort is clean, quiet, well cared for and the customer service is top notch

Stayed the entire month of February 2026. Large park of mostly retirees, snowbirds, and seems like permanent residents. Lots of activities and events although definitely geared towards an older crowd. We have a 3 year old and just wasn't a lot of stuff for her to do in the park. We had a mix up with our site that was our fault, staff was very nice about getting us into a nice site for the month. The heated pool is kept very warm.

BEWARE: NO INTERNET!! They advertise that they have internet, but they don't, only in the office/pool area for business purposes and 2 laundry rooms for charging purposes for washer and dryers. The rest of the park has NO INTERNET. Also, they don't work on weekends so you are on your own if come during the weekend. They leave the paperwork at the office door, but the park has no road names so you have to go by site number. Also, the laundry rooms are at the far ends of the park and only have 3 washers and 3 dryers each. There are like 400 sites so we had to wait a long time to do 2 loads of wash on a Tuesday afternoon. Otherwise, the place is well maintained and has a lot of other nice amenities, and the actual site was nice and level.

Here I rented a tiny home. It was nice, they provided the essentials you normally expect. The area was nice and quiet during the times we were on the property. There's plenty to do in the area on and off the water especially now during manatee season.
