Over the last year Kay and Irene have worked hard to clean the place up removing the old trees and dirt bags much more peaceful cleaned up all they're old trailers fixed power boxes they need to figure out the water bill where a family of one pays the same as a family of six but I understand they are working on it so if your interested in a place don't bypass this park.

Update edit: Island Communities was given 4 months to rectify a problem THEY caused and now that I'm sharing with the world what they did to my mother, suddenly they want to to make things right. I urge people to check them out with the BBB and/or Trust Pilot.

I'm writing this review to save anyone I can from experiencing what I have been through with Island Communities. But to fully appreciate the enormity of the problem, you first have to understand the Island Communities business model.
Island Communities is akin to a corporate raider. They search out run down mobile home parks and buy them without honoring current lease agreements. They raise the rent, sometimes doubling, and also tack on fees that are normally covered by the rent - such as lawn care, grounds maintenance, community lighting etc.
They change to rent payment system to where you cannot possibly pay onsite. No checks, cash or credit cards. You either have to go to Walmart with your bill in hand or give them access to your checking account. And in either case, you have to pay a $4.50 service fee on top of your rent.
And forget about trying to speak with someone if your bill is screwed up. They overcharged my mother for six months for utility bills that she paid directly to the utility companies. And when she tried month after month unsuccessfully to get them removed, she eventually had to get me involved because the office "manager" has no authority to make changes. I eventually had to move my mom elsewhere because Island Communities had charged my mom over $650 in double billing for utilities and no one would address the problem.
My mom is now MUCH happier elsewhere. Unfortunately, many residents cannot afford to move because the reputation of Island Communities is sooo bad that buyers won't even LOOK at your home - even at a less than market price. So you're stuck with Slumlord Millionaire.
Take the time to ask a few residents what they think before buying. And don't fall for the fake positive posts.

I like the park, I lived here for 8 yrs. The new owners have made this a nicer place to live.

I moved in afew months ago. Any problem I have had Kay and her team has been right to fix whatever was wrong. When I moved in there was no railing on the back door steps, my sons was afraid I would fall. Today they came and made railing on both sides. They did a beautiful job and so professional and wanted to make sure I was happy and felt safe. Thank you all again. I appreciate all you do.

It was heart wrenching to see friends(I was only there 2yrs) neighbors being displaced after living there 17 yrs and more.abousoulty beautiful landscaping all their doing cause a new property managerment bought it out and made it impossible for real combat vets to afford! I can go on and on you'll get no answer from them the management or the Best contact is mobile home #18 they're in close contact
