We loved camping at Salt springs! The sites are clean and level. The staff was helpful and nice.We enjoy having full hookups, it’s welcoming for dogs and good for biking. We had pretty good cell service and no WiFi so good week to unplug. Loved having firewood delivered to our site for our nightly campfire too. Also perfect for paddle boarding on the river and swimming in the springs with a couple manatee. Overall an excellent place for us.

Salt Spring was excellent. Very nice sites. Bathhouse was very well kept. In February needs a heater. The spring was well kept. Wish there were some bike trails. Overall one of the nicest campground I have been at this year.

The campground is neat ,, clean and the sites a roomy. The area where there is swimming available was not crowded when we were there . We had read that there was no cell service but were able to get one bar which provided what we needed. It is a distance to larger grocery stores and such. There was a post office, laundry mate, hair salons and family restaurant across the street,.

The staff are so polite and friendly. The grounds are very well kept. The sites are spacious and clean. Fire pit was great. Did not use the bathhouse so I can’t comment on them. Good hiking and the Springs are wonderful. We will return.

Love the area. The campgrounds are beautifully maintained as well as the restrooms/bathhouse. The springs are an excellent area to relax watching the small crabs and fish.

Loved it. Extremely well run by top notch people. Bathrooms were spotless as were the sites.
Very disappointed to learn that they’re being forced to close at the end of the year as it’s one of our favorite campgrounds.

Nice, well-kept park. Full hookup was a surprise to find in a national forest. It's close to other activities within the Ocala National Forest. We took advantage of paddling the 7 mile Juniper Run which we love. We did our own shuttle. Like that this recreational area has kept plenty of beautiful oaks around the campground. Very quiet at night as well and dark -- we liked that. After all, you are camping in nature!
