Very disappointed overall. While we were notified by phone, on our way to the campground, that the sewage system had gone out we were 200 miles into our trip and could not turn back. We were led to believe that it would be fixed while we were there for four nights. It was not. On leaving we had to go to a nearby State Park and pay $10.70 to dump. And we had selected this site and campground specifically because it has Full Hookups.
The campground and the staff were excellent. Grounds were beautiful and the staff courteous. The Springs area was beautiful and we saw some Manatees.

Excellent campground with some of the best hosts I’ve encountered. One of our favorite parks!

Really nice campground. We reserved 3 sites for family 13. The sites were very spacious-lots of space for kids to run and play. The bathrooms were very clean all the time! The basketball court and covered pavilion were very large and lots of room for games and crafts! The spring is beautiful! Lots of fish and blue crab and manatee. The staff was very pleasant and helpful!
Would definitely camp here again.

Peaceful location. All sites are kept clean and restrooms are very clean. Appreciate all the effort the employees and volunteers do.
I will definitely return.

Salt Springs Recreation Area is a very well laid out facility. Hosts appeared to take their jobs seriously, "inviting" one exceptionally loud group to depart early, making the campground much more pleasant for the rest of us.
