Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort

This campground has everything. Playgrounds for the kids and for the adults. The pools and hot tubs are clean. Live music Friday and Saturday night. This is one of our favorites.

The people here very nice. Some fun things happening on weekends and a weekend restaurant. We were in key West part where out dog site was completely fenced in. That was nice but I am afraid at over 500.00 for the week (you have to rent internet service also) its a little much. No paved sites, a lot of little stones my smaller dogs had in their feet and bigger ones dragged into RV. Each site has a picnic table which is nice and make shift fire pit. We did encounter a lot of pesky little gnats but thats probably seasonal. Town is about 6 miles away and very limited shopping or eating places. All in all we enjoyed our stay, our neighbor was very nice but not sure at that price when we will return.

We spent the weekend at SRR. Im in love with this place! Now its no 5 star resort. This a rustic place the cabin are older. Its liking taking a step back in time. Which part why I loved it so much. We were in the a frame. The stairs were rough because im handicap but I prepared and knew they would be rough for me. Preparation was worth it because the view and the porch were pure heaven. The cabin was a little dated, some weak spots and unlevel floors, but was able to move around. The kids loved the loft. We made sure they were safe on the stair/ladder going up. Convict springs was literally right out the front door across a small field. The spring was beautiful. The kids swam so much the were sore the next day. The family is a little small but we had fun. The staff were so nice! The highlight of everything was meeting Pinky one their beautiful pigeons!!!! The birding here is top notch especially one the river. We saw 3 red shoulder hawks and heard numerous great horned owls. Also the gulf sturgeon jumping is so cool! We will be back! I want to canoe and fish next time!!!

Check in was a bit confusing since the office was closed, but the next morning pretty fast and easy. The park is very clean. The playground was nice, the pools are large and very clean. The bottoms of the pools and hot tub are extremely rough. The hot tub wasn’t hot and the jets didn’t work. The speed limit is 10 which is great but the golf carts fly like they are going to a fire. The camping spot we stayed in was perfect other than the grass needed cut. A major downfall is the permanent campers that have the campsites so junky it’s like your in a trailer park. I feel they should all be grouped in one section. Overall we were pleased.

Suwannee River Rendezvous was the ideal spot for our group trip! Our family has been coming here awhile. However this time around we stayed in Spring Suite G, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite that was surprisingly spacious and accommodating for all of us. The two beds in each bedroom and two in the living room meant everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The location is second to none for us, with a fantastic view of both the spring and the Suwannee River. The staff also deserves a special mention! they were so accommodating and friendly, which made our group's stay even more enjoyable. It's the perfect place for a family gathering or a trip with friends.
