This is an ok park with full hookups but there is nothing in the park to do. There are cities to explore and many springs to enjoy nearby.

Very nice campground. Is kept up and clean. Check in was all online and super easy. Dog park was a nice feature. It’s far enough out that you feel like you’re in the middle of no where but only about a ten minute drive to restaurants and shopping. The price per night was very reasonable also. I would highly recommend this place.

We stayed here four nights while visiting friends in the area. The owner met us at our drivers window, when we pulled up, directed us to our site # and we never saw him again nor his wife, ever. In fact, not one person spoke to us in four days. We went outside hoping to meet someone, anyone. The turkeys and chickens and cat came to see us often, which we loved. Our cats were especially interested. There were, what seemed to be many, long term people here. We were surrounded by several young Hispanic families with small adorable children. If you want a quiet no contact place to stay, this is perfect. If you’re a people person that loves to connect with others, not so much. There are no amenities at all. No public bathroom. No laundry. No events building. I see that this place opened two years ago? I see no expansion projects in progress. I am saying all of this in truth, not to complain. We’re just passing through and will most likely never return, so we wouldn’t stay here in the future anyway. I will say that the Tom Turkey is beautiful and unique. His head and neck look like something out of Star Wars. 🤣 The black and white cat was very friendly and well fed. She wasn’t interested in sharing Temptation treats with our cats. The chickens liked them more.

Due to Hurricane Helene, we hunkered down at Green Acres on the way to Tampa and ended up staying 7 nights when Tampa had widespread power outages. Tom and Sue were the best! We couldn’t tell them when we would be leaving and they let us and many others stay until we could safely go. They still honored their weekly rate and, once full, even opened their large field for anyone who wanted to boon dock.
Sites were spacious with full hookups, plenty of grass and very clean. Nice, fenced dog park and there are turkeys and chickens for the kids to see. Very little road noise at night. It feels like a secluded area, but is only 10 miles from Live Oak (Walmart, gas, etc). It’s best if you are self-contained as there is no bath house or laundry at the campground yet.

An impromptu trip to McAlpin, FL to work on our property 5 minutes away from this hidden new little gem, Green Acres Campground owned and operated by the nicest folks, Tom and Sue. Spacious sites with lots of room. Minutes from a few rivers and springs. Quiet and quaint setting. Until our property is ready, we definitely will be spending time here along with friends and family. Love it!!
