Had a very pleasant stay there. We arrived late and they still provided us a spot to spend the night, the staff were very kind. Its really rustic, I loved it!

Friendly people. A good clean up of dead landscape material would greatly improve the look of the place. Appears dilapidated with dead bushes, trees, and debris everywhere. Some spots shaded but others in full sun. Our site was spacious but some spots are small. We were in an RV, so didn't need to make the long trek to the only bathroom. Laundry with 2 washers/dryers was adequate. Not a resort, more like a state campground. Would definitely return. 40 minutes from Naples, 10 miles from Everglade City. Still pricey for what you get, but this area is expensive. Lots of gators visible from the boardwalk just down the road at the H.P. Williams roadside park, and at the Oasis Visitor Center.

My boyfriend and I did tent camping here and we absolutely loved it. Nice grassy area for our tent under a palm tree. The bugs weren't bad & we had flushing toilets & hot showers. The stars were beautiful here aswell.

It's January 18th
Mosquitos are present...
Even so, everything was perfect. Lots of space, was so quiet, nights are starry. We stay in a lot of places, Trail Lakes, is one of my favorites in Florida.

I love camping, but as I get older I don't always feel like setting up and breaking down everything...especially if it’s just for a night or two. The Shealy's campground came through for me in the best way with a Chickee: super rustic accomodations (I got my camping fix🙌🏼) in a natural outdoor setting with linens and soap provided. The shower was hot and the grounds are BEAUTIFUL! The night sky is EVERYTHING (dark sky certified). The staff is incredibly friendly. Unexpected perk: Skunkape-centric giftshop and animal exhibit (free admission for campers🤩).
