We enjoyed our mini vacay at Clearwater Lake Recreation Area. We stayed for 4 nights, and we are absolutely in love with this park! From the time that we checked in to the time that we left, we were extremely happy from the park itself to the campground manager Jerry and his wife Terry along with the campground host, Joe. The park was exceptionally clean and well kept. The shower/bath house was very clean and the showers we warm. The swimming area was white sand beach like and a great place for kids of all ages. They offer canoe, paddleboard, and kayak rentals to explore the lake. The lake is spring fed, and the water is crystal clear. Our campsite was clean and well taken care of.
If you haven’t been to Clearwater Lake even for day use, you should check it out.
I can’t express how accommodating and helpful the staff is! They really know how to make you feel welcomed!

In a dry camping this was good. We were real close to beach so that was very good

We had a great time camping at Clearwater Lake Recreational Area. It's a short walk to the water and facilities we're clean. They even have a dishwashing room!

As always, the couple running the campground were so amazing and helpful! We were lucky to get site 41 again and it’s a favorite. We rented a canoe this time which was fun and the sunset was incredible! Clean bathrooms and beautiful surroundings!

Owners are very nice, bathrooms are clean and campsites are well kept. You do have to drive a bit to go into the bigger towns for activities, but it’s worth it to stay here!

This campground is a hidden gem! Site 13 is such a great spot. It has beautiful views of the lake and privacy from the sites next to it. I loved that I could walk down to the lake from my site. The bathrooms, showers, and dish washing room were very clean and in good shape. I really liked that there were multiple spots for drinking water & trashcans throughout the campground.
The hiking trail was well maintained, but keep an eye out for snakes! When I went it was a little too cold for swimming, but I did Paddleboard around the lake which was so nice. Overall a great spot and can’t wait to come back.
