We had such a great stay at Surf RV Resort! The resort is clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The grounds are spacious, the amenities are excellent, and the whole place has that relaxing Florida waterfront vibe that makes it easy to unwind.
The absolute highlight of our stay was getting to watch a rocket launch right from the resort. Seeing the sky light up and the rocket streak across the horizon over the water was unreal. It was one of those unexpected moments that makes a trip unforgettable. Everyone stopped what they were doing just to watch — such a cool experience.
If you're looking for a laid-back getaway with beautiful views and the chance to catch something incredible like a rocket launch, this is definitely the place.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Stay at The Surf RV Resort – 27 Amazing Nights!

We spent 27 nights at The Surf RV Resort in Palmetto, Florida, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience!

The resort is very well organized and beautifully maintained. The bathrooms and laundry rooms are always clean and spotless, which makes a big difference during a longer stay.

There’s always something happening here. Food trucks come frequently, and the resort organizes various events and activities that really bring the community together. They even have their own app where you can check daily activities and stay updated — such a great touch!

One of the highlights for us was the pickleball courts. It’s a wonderful place to meet amazing people and enjoy great games. The staff and overall service are truly outstanding — friendly, professional, and always helpful.

We also really appreciated that trash is picked up daily right in front of your site. You don’t have to carry it anywhere or walk long distances — such a convenient service.

The only small disappointment was that the tiki bar near the pickleball courts was closed in January — it would have been the perfect addition to the great atmosphere.

Overall, this resort exceeded our expectations. Beautiful place, great community, excellent service. We will definitely be back!

Highly recommend!

Great RV resort. Had a great time at Karaoke. The activities are fantastic! They had a live band and superbowl party too. It was a great time and the clubhouse, pool and hot tub are beautiful.

My wife stayed for 3 days in September. The place is A1, but the staff is even better. So at our site no Internet.

Reported the issue. Immediately men came, but could not fix it. The next day I complained again. I explained that I have A business zoom meeting from 1 to 3. The manager set me and my dog in her private conference room.

In short, the staff are all 5 star. Thank you Surf staff....

The Surf RV Resort has a lot of great amenities—pools, a jacuzzi, two laundry rooms, a small gym (though it could definitely use more machines), pickleball courts, grills, two dog parks, and a bar by the pool. There’s also a preserve I enjoy walking by, and a game room with billiards, chess, and ping pong. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the resort hosts regular events and gatherings.

There’s plenty of space for RVs and a couple of cars, but there are some downsides worth noting: no shade at all (not ideal for hot days or your car), and limited privacy—mostly small bushes between sites. Laundry is $2 per load with standard-size washers, so if you’re trying to clean big blankets, you’ll likely need to go off-site. At least there’s an outdoor drying area.

We also have an indoor-outdoor cat, so this has been a big adjustment for him. He’s a good boy and follows me on walks, but I’m leash-training him (which he’s not a fan of). One day, a staff member stopped me to say, “Your cat must be on a leash. If he poops somewhere, you won’t know where.” I get it—for dogs, totally—but cats bury their business!

We’re temporarily parked near the road, and it’s pretty loud—lots of construction trucks flying by at 60 mph from the Palmetto area builds. The entry is with a fob I wish it could have been a bit simpler. But I like there are an exit gate near us to escape US hwy 41’s traffic from the front gate.

Overall: It’s a beautiful place to stay, a lot to do but just be aware of the few drawbacks. We’re considering moving to a quieter, more private spot—maybe a corner lot if the price is right—for a better fit. But so far, we like it here and are enjoying the experience.
