What Guests Are Saying
Fort Pickens Campground offers a beautiful, secluded environment with friendly campers and staff, making it a great spot for families and outdoor enthusiasts. While the campground is well-maintained and features nice updated restrooms, some areas need maintenance, such as uneven asphalt and cleanliness in the showers. Despite minor issues, many visitors express a strong desire to return, enjoying activities like biking, fishing, and exploring the historic Fort Pickens.

We love being close to the beach & I have family in Pensacola. All of the hosts were friendly and helpful. We have been coming to Fort Pickens for 6yrs. In this time period the care of the park, in particular, the restrooms has become despicable. Each year they get dirtier & dirtier. This year the same hair, toothpaste & just dirt& gunk remained in the sinks (ladies room, section C) the entire 2 wks we were there. We watched the park employee go in to the restroom & turn around & walk out without touching those sinks or toilets. It really is unacceptable to accept money from all of us and leave us with filthy bathrooms. The showers are an even worse situation. Same wads of hair, beer cans, whatever all left day after day after day. The hosts and even the rangers told all of us that this is the NUMBER 1 complaint at this place and they send the messages to maintenance but nothing is fine. Shame on you all in maintenance for not caring.

We all had the most amazing weekend at Ft Pickens. The campsite was gorgeous, bathrooms were clean, loved the trails and exploring the Fort. Love the history. And especially loved watching the most incredible sunset from the top of Langdon battery with views of the gulf.

Pretty good experience overall. Bathroom cleanliness wasn't the best. Also really wish there was an ice machine somewhere on the property considering the price paid for just pitching a tent on the ground.

Lovely National park. There is so much to see. We camped there, great campsite & campground, and spent two days in the park ands still didn’t see everything. Particularly enjoyed exploring the forts Anna seeing the lighthouse across the pass at night. We will be coming back to visit again. Also the entry point staff person was incredibly patient and kind.

Our site was clean, level and. shady. Bathrooms were out dated but clean. proximity to Gulf and Bay were convenient. Fort Pickens was an amazing historical site. being able to explore the whole fort was great. The different birds and animals along the trails was worth the stay.
